Intricate guitar work and vocals layer this luminous new album from Victoria Adiiye and Dáithí Sproule. Featuring original compositions and timeless lyrics, Adiiye and Sproule explore the sounds and textures of instrumentals and songs.  It’s magical music, sprung from a shared love of beautiful melodies and innovative arrangements.

This album is, above everything, a record of a friendship. A collection that grew from years of playing together — the recent ones from across an ocean. It is music about movement: about rivers and journeys, about love and leaving, about the places that stay with you long after you’ve gone. It’s a theme that was never far from our minds even when we lived in the same place — and one that feels more alive than ever now that we don’t. Derry and Donegal, Uganda and Massachusetts, Minnesota and Cork — the tunes and songs here live in the spaces between all of those places, and in the friendships that made the distances worth crossing.
