Welcome to my website! It’s proved to be a snowy winter here in Minnesota — which I like! The Altan autumn US tour was a great success, and now we have another US tour coming up — 9th of March to 29th — again with Clare Friel as special guest — it was wonderful to have her on the last trip. I seem to be travelling more again these days — I was in Ireland over the New Year, playing and teaching in Donegal (including a special Skara Brae concert) and I was just in Quebec doing some filming for a documentary that will be shown on CBC and tg4. This involved conversations with some very interesting Canadian musicians and was quite an adventure — more to come on that project with trips to Ireland and back to Canada again in the coming months. AND a Trian gig coming up at the end of July! We will be performing at the Lowell Folk Festival in Massachusetts. Trian gigs are always special! See you anon!
